Artist's Description
Photo was taken in Miami Beach. It hangs in my hallway, but as of today it will hang in my daughter's apartment. She is ripping it off my wall so I reordered another one as a replacement. I strongly urge you to order this as a gift for yourself, or anyone you care about. My photo is 36" wide and done in the acrylic mounting. I love it and obviously so does my daughter. I am sure you will too.
It is also hanging at Greenwich Gallery, located at 462 sixth Avenue, NYC in Manhattan. Please stop by if you are in the neighborhood.
About Madeline Ellis
At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed. Madeline this is a Florida in a photo, that's for sure! The gentle breeze is blowing the sea grass, the white sand of the beach and the oh so blue of the water in the distance! Love the sense of distance as my eye follows the line of the fence to the water. Congratulations on your group features, so well deserved.
