People sit outside a restaurant located on Spring street, between Mulberry and Lafayette. They are lost in their own thoughts but linked by the bench. An elderly lady with walking cane steps into the frame. I know that I have to press the button on my camera. She is the necessary ingredient.

By the way Vive La Crepe is a highly rated restaurant for yummy crepes.

At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed.
