Product Details

Our premium yoga mats are 24" wide x 72" tall x 0.25" thick and made from natural rubber with a blended microfiber top surface.   The top of the mat has the image printed on it, and the back is solid black with textured dimples for better floor grip.

Artist's Description

The evening of August, 2016 in New York City, with almost 100% humidity and temperature feeling like it is 106 and with no let up in sight, I stay in my air conditioned apartment; I leave only to walk my daughter's dog. I look out of my window and see bolts of lightening flashing across the darkening evening summer sky. I am not quick enough to catch it, but I do capture this magnificent and surrealistic view.

At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed.
