At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed. A pure gem Madeline, I don't know why but many painters over the years have painted hanging laundry also, I am so attracted to authentic photographs and art with this theme, very great catch FAV+/L

Joseph, thanks. I think you can really tell so much about people by their laundry. I remember when my mother hung the clothes out to dry. When she was able, she traded clothespins for a drier.
