The flatiron is an landmark building designed in the Beaux Arts style. It was once one of the tallest building in the city boasting 22 floors. It is located at 175 Fifth Avenue.

At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed.
