I am honored that this was one of the photos chosen to appear in the June 2014 issue of Eye on Fine Art Photography.
At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed. Very nice -- simple and innocent - a little girl at the beach lost in her dreams. The light says the day is ending -- I like the treatment and capture of the light. The tighter crop is good as well. V/F
