Description
This is dedicated to Love In The Time Of Cholera whose protagonist sits in the park and writes many love letters to a woman who he is obsessed with for his whole life. She finally comes to her senses and marries a wealthy doctor and rejects the ardent suitor. He carries his dreams of marrying this woman into his old age. Along the way he has approximately 622 sexual encounters with women, but never loses sight of his hope that her husband dies and she is free to marry him. I am not quite finished reading the book so I don't know yet how it ends.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
