Description
The flatiron is a triangular building located at 23rd Street, Broadway and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, NYC. It is a landmark building that was completed in 1902. With 20 floors, it was considered to be the tallest building of its' time. It gets the name from resembling a cast iron clothes iron. The district surrounding it is called the flatiron district deriving the name from this building. It is included in the National Register of Historic Places.
People are seen in the foreground walking and sitting at tables. The Flatiron is in the background.
